Blacksmithing Lessons in Bend, Oregon




Hunter Dahlberg has been blacksmithing since 1995 and full time as a professional in Bend since 2004. His shop, Orion Forge, specializes in architectural iron work – gates, railings, hand rails and signage as well as wrought iron furniture pieces and hardware. Somewhere along the way, Hunter picked up two degrees in education and in addition to teaching blacksmithing has taught mountaineering, sailing, kayaking, and other outdoor skills. He is passionate about both teaching and blacksmithing and is excited to share what he knows about this craft.

YOU WILL LEARN:

Class Dates and Times:
Please email or call for availability, classes run depending on enrollment. Have a group of friends (we need four)who want to learn about blacksmithing too? Contact Orion Forge and we'll pick a date!



Class Requirements: All students must come equipped with long pants, long sleeves and closed-toed shoes. Safety glasses will be worn at all times and are provided by Orion Forge. Hearing protection will also be available. Please arrive on time and come fully prepared to learn. Blacksmithing is challenging work and demands complete attention. Class size is kept small to maximize individual instruction so sign up now! If you are under 18 please indicate so in your email - you'll need to have a parent or gaurdian fill out a permission form.

Tuition: $110.00
Tuition covers instruction and all materials needed to complete basic projects (yours to keep).
